Is it wise to exercise after dinner?

I'm already suddenly feeling like I want to exercise... was thinking of jump-roping for 10 minutes. I recently ate dinner. It's nearly 7pm now so.. is it wise to exercise or should I exercise the next day?

Not really sure..but I do exercise late at night sometimes after I put my kiddos to bed! If I can't do it early in the moring like at 6 than I usually have to wait till late in the evening.

It really depends on how your body reacts to it. I need to wait at least 1.5-2 hours after eating before exercising or I feel ill.
  • Your body's systems will streamline it's energy to where it is most needed, so toward your workout and your dinner will just sit in your stomach until after your workout. What this means is you will not be able to utilize your dinner as energy during your workout. This isn't really a bad thing, unless you are working out after breakfast and don't give yourself some time to digest.
You may get nauseous from the food bouncing around in your tummy though, especially if you ate anything spicy.

Apparently going on like a walk after dinner is really good for you! Good for like your heart and digestion and stuffs like that.. So I think like gentle-medium difficulty exercise is good, but not like high intensity because that'll just make you feel sick and especially if you're going to sleep exercise will just keep you awake if it's too intense so maybe something lighter than skipping? but I'm sure 10 minutes would be okay!
