How much does protein vs carbs matter?

Hi. I'm often low on protein but over on my carb intake every day? Anyone have any opinions on how much this matters in terms of losing weight?

    For me it was huge...

    Before I started MFP I was eating ok but WAY to many carbs when i cut back and watched my portion sizes it started melting off. It really depends on how much you are eating and what kinds of carbs.

    most of my carbs come from cereals, breads, fruits, vegetables...
  • 1. Get enough protein (1g per pound of lean body mass is a good number to shoot for)
    2. Get enough fat (.35g per pound of body weight)
    3. Do whatever you want with the leftover calories. If you want to eat them all from carbs, that's fine. If you want to eat more fat/protein that's also fine.
