Finally I decided what type of weightlifting program to start when I'm done with CLX: All Pro's Simple Beginner's Routine. I'll probably be starting it in March and I was wondering if there is anyone else doing it or interested in starting it.

This beginner's routine is pretty popular over at bodybuilding.com, but I find the forum over there a bit intimidating. So, if anyone else is interested, we could start a dedicated group over here at MFP.

Looking forward to your reactions!

    Progress looks really slow.
Have you considered Starting Strength or StrongLifts 5x5?

Yes, I've also been looking at Stronglifts. The simplicity of Stronglifts is really appealing, I think that I would find it boring sooner though. However, what made the scale tip over in favour of All Pro's for me, is the fact that the warm-up sets are already included in the set count. With Stronglifts you still have to add them.

On a sidenote, what also plays an important role for me, is that I will do a dumbbell only version. I really don't like going to a gym and don't have the space for a barbell, squat rack etc at home.

The progression seems fine by me with 10% extra weight every 5 weeks. I'd rather take it a bit slower in the beginning then increasing weights too fast and risk injury

What routine are you doing or looking at?

I started with Starting Strength and have moved over to Wendler 5/3/1. StrongLifts looks like a good program, though, and is free.

With dumbbells, you're going to be very limited.

Yes, I know. With the adjustable set I intent to get in addition to the one I already have, I can get slightly above 1x BW. That should get me through my absolute beginner period. And after that I'll reassess
