Low fat intake

I have been reading through my records and i meet my carbs easily and calories however i do not take in hardly any fat. Any advice? Thanks guys!

    hehe I find everyone meets carbs easily :P how much protein have you been having? MFP gives a very low number. I am 140lb and aim for about 100g a day.

    In regards to fat, you NEED healthy fats. That is fats from nuts, seeds, seafood, coconut oils. So try to add a bit of fish into your diet and maybe a handful of nuts :)

    Thanks for the advice :) My protein i usually take half in of what i should have really and my fats are very low most of the time as i'm not eating anything with fats in i don't think...mostly on veg ect. I really don't like fish either maybe the nuts is a good idea what sort of nuts are good though? :)

    when you say 'half of what you should have' do you mean only 25g? That is very very low! MFP is silly in that area :S What kind of seafood have you had? I really have to say that a well (not overdone, properly) cooked atlantic salmon fillet is ALMOST as good as chocolate for me (that is saying a lot!).

    Well I personally love almonds, walnuts and cashews :) there are lots of other goodies in them (important nutrients, you can google it) which makes them worth while, but they are a big calorie hit so be careful! I also try to have seeds every other day including sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Sunflower seeds have so much goodness (again, google).

    Furthering that, I add chia seeds and flaxseed to my breakfast (rice and an egg) and that ups the protein + fats + dietary fibre.

    I like eggs so thats good i will have to make a list of some stuff to get in with essential fats. I'm on 21g of protein at the moment and 8g of fat i must add i make do with 1200 calories a day but i'm eating lots of veg ect so i am not too hungry most of the time. I meet my calories and carbs though just need to perk up the others! I have lost weight though which is good as i binge ate quite a bit of chocolate and crisps so i've grown some will power atleast! :) Now i just need to get more information on what i'm aload to eat.

    yeah, that protein is SO LOW! If you friend me you can see my diary. I don't completely practice what I preach.. I am human... but i try for 100g protein each day as I am getting active. 20g isn't even enough just for retaining muscle, let alone gaining (which is what you should be doing).

    I have done lots of research on this so feel free to ask away :) it's good you're feeling full, I found protein helped me a lot with that. Eggs are a good source too!!

    Yeah I used to binge on all the bad stuff... big bowl of pasta, chocolate, ice cream, coffee and cakes. So naughty!

    I am not sure what MFP has against protein?
