All my pals know I'm living healthier, enjoying exercise and better nutrition. Which is why it is so frustrating to have a week of school every month that is just balls-to-the-wall go go GO from 6am to almost midnight.

And ALL the while everyone is shoving "goodies" in my face. Brownies that people brought in, "power" bars, nuts (coated in sugar, and "flavoring"), and all the usual crap you'd expect.

This wouldn't bother me, save that there's the constant comments of "Ohhhhh this brownie is Sooo damn GOOD!", and "I bet you wish you could try these <insert name of snack or beverage here>.

And at about 4pm, when the only real food I can get was the egg white and Zucchini omelet was for breakfast and my almonds and Think Thin bar for lunch, I finally give in and partake.

That's met with the "Ohhh look who's on a diet?" Crap. And the associated needling that goes with "breaking down".

So for all my work friends: Well, F#$k that. I'll eat the damned goodies, and yeah, I may not lose anything on the scale this week while the schedule is hell.

Because guess what? When the week is over, and I have three weeks of semi-normalcy, I am out running 5 miles a day and doing P90X and eating good, fresh foods. And I'll make my progress then.

And when school is finally over in June, and we can meet at one of the conventions 6 months down the road, My fit, trim, strong and disciplined *kitten* will be sure to bring brownies for you...

Grrrrrrrrrr.
