I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around it.

I keep talking about myself like I'm still overweight. Some kids in my class asked me what blubber was and I went to grab at my waist to show them but came up with nothing. I keep talking about my old skinny self like it's in the past. The other day I was talking about playing soccer with my kids when I was little. A coworker said, "You're not very big now." This whole process has been rather fast and it seems like I just shrank overnight. I keep being told that I'm looking skinny but for some reason I still see the parts about myself that I want to change. My husband and daughter are telling me not to push it so hard and not to go overboard. I can see that they're worried. How do we reconcile our image of what we want to look like with what we get when we work so hard to get there?

You need to read some books to change your mind set. I was recommended the book 4 Arrangements by don M. Ruiz. I think it is called. I listen to my lifestyle coach and he is writing a book about changing your mind set. :flowerforyou:
P,S. I looked it up and you can read reviews at Amazon.com0 -
Yeah, it's all about mindset. I also need to stop comparing myself to young, skinny, size 2 girls. I don't want to look like that either. Too much weight loss would make my face look extremely old.0

Yes,the worst thing we can do is to compare ourselves with others. You have been uniquely made and NO ONE is like you! Take it one day at a time, one workout at a time. Do the best you can every day and don't worry about the rest.
Be healthy and happy and content with yourself. Nobody, even the "seemingly" looking models and actresses no TV are perfect. Young girls, well, they are young, and when they grow up , things also change for them. So don't worry. You are unique! And only you can be you!! :flowerforyou:0 -
A lot of us see ourselves in the mirror and in our minds quite differently than the rest of the world sees us. I know for me, I never really saw myself as fat when I was fat... I just always hated looking at pictures of myself because I LOOKED fat in them. Now, I sometimes don't recognize myself immediately in photos because I'm thin- it's so weird. (and it's been 4 YEARS since I lost the weight)
I used to be a thin person living in a fat body, and now I'm a fat person living in a thin person's body.... it's just so true!0
