Ok guys so I'm 9lbs away from goal weight!!!! Most people say to slow your weight loss rate to 0.5lbs per week right?

Yes, but for best results, do it slowly. Add 100 calories a week for a few weeks in a row to get back up to your maintenance numbers.
I increased 500 calories all at once and was discouraged by the natural uptick I saw on the scale. If I had increased more gradually I might have avoided that.0 -
Ok so start off slow by adding 75-100 calories per week until I hit my maintenance calories, or slowly increase until I hit losing by 0.5lbs instead of 0.9?0

slowly increase, but keep in a deficit, until you hit target weight losing by 0.5lbs instead of 0.9, and then slowly creep up from there to maintenance numbers.
Be patient. These last few pounds may take you six months. I've been working on those last 8 for about a year. The closer you are to goal, the more stubborn it can be.0
