Cooking Tips

I noticed several people on MFP microwave their potatoes as opposed to baking them, so I wanted to share my way of microwaving a potato so that you can't tell it has been microwaved.
First wash your potato and dry it. Then with a fork poke holes all over the potato. This will keep your potato from exploding in the microwave. When your potato is done cooking take it and wrap it completely in aluminum foil and let it rest for at least 5 minutes. When the potato is wrapped in foil the heat can not escape easily and this thoroughly cooks the potato all over.
Disclaimer: do not microwave the potato with aluminum foil on it.
I'm sure others have some cooking tips that will be useful for the rest of us. Please share.
