Zip Lining?

Ok, this is not really fitness or exercise but I didn't know where else to put this. I'm visiting Costa Rica in April and I really want to try zip lining, but I'm concerned that my thighs might not fit through the harnesses. I'm bottom heavy and I have 34" thighs and I read on a message board that there is a 30" limit for thighs? UGH!!!! I can't WAIT until I don't have to worry about being TOO BIG for something!! At any rate, has anyone of superior substance gone zip lining?

This is how I see it... you've got two options:

    a) Call or write to the company you intend to go ziplining with and ask if there are restrictions. And/or,

    b) Work your *kitten* off. April is two months away and you might be able to get down to 30" thighs by then.

That being said, with ziplining... safety should be your first priority. It's a blast, but not something to risk your health and well-being over.

Zip lines also have a weight limit. I know I was too heavy for one place this last summer.

    That's awesome. :)

Ok we have zip lines here in Nevada and they have a weight limit not size of body parts. I am sure the harness will fit you :) It's so fun and awesome and a thrill of a life time :) Enjoy

I checked into one company and they had no weight limit; they could support up to 900lbs!

We got a new zip line in the snake river canyon this summer and they don't have a thigh size limit but rather a weight limit of 280 lbs.
