Hello!
So I'm a college student. I've been in undergrad for 6 years because I've changed my major 5 times. Music, English, pre-vet and other nameless majors.
I'm graduating in May.
I'm still not sure what to do with my life- I'm going to get a job for a little and work while I figure it out.. but a friend of mine is in nursing school.
I've been considering going to get my RN- but I have some doubts (just like everything else I do.. hence the major changes..). Mostly I'm worried about the "gross" part of the job. It's different than other gross parts.
I work with horses.
I've worked at a vet clinic.
I've worked at dog kennels.
For some reason, people vomit and feces and such makes me cringe.
How big of a part of the job is it?
I'm graduating with a degree in Animal Science. But the opportunities for my interests/talents aren't very plentiful.
So I'd like to know from the RNs- what do you like about your jobs? What don't you like? Would you recommend it as a good career? What made you go into nursing?
I'm very for a job where I have to be moving around/on my feet/doing stuff. I'm not a fan of office jobs.
And yes I've considered vet-tech and veterinarian. I have my reasons for not wanting to do them- mostly money reasons and politics/no places for going higher in the field/finding jobs.
Would love to hear input!!
Thanks!
