I did level 1 once but I didn't feel like it did enough for me. I love her active recovery theory though, and think all her DVD's are great for beginners.
However I think its important to note that core conditioning works better for your abs than doing 10 000 crunches a day. Body revolution includes enough ab work and unless you have a low body fat in which case you shouldn't do body revolution anyway then maybe doing her ab workout would be beneficial.
The point im trying to make is you can burn more calories doing cardio like running or swimming, and if you're not close to showing abs I wouldn't bother the potential strain from over training them.0 -
hey,
I already have a reasonably strong core and I found this workout GOOD. The first day I did it, I didn't feel too much as I was not used to the moves yet and the pace (which is hard to keep up with). But yesterday I did it for the second time and it's the best abs workout I've done. You need nothing but a mat and a dumbell (optional) and you can check out level one on youtube as well
How it works for you depends on how you approach it. You can really push yourself (me yesterday) or go mediocre (me the day before). It is all about you really doing the moves properly and really focusing on tightening your abs. Even Jillian was losing breath!
edit: It's not just strength training, it also adds in some cardio so really gets the heart beating0 -
Well I'm not really a beginner so much I've worked my way through a few work DVDs. I'm not really sure whAt my boy fat is or how to find out what it is. Lol. But I'm trying to lose my stomach & tighten it from having my son a few years ago.. I just want to do two workouts a day seeing as body revolution is 30 min and I'm used to 60+0

I LOVE this workout! I did the Body Revolution and am planning to do it again with heavier weights. I wanted to get a little more ab work, so...I am into week 2 of Level 2 of the 6W6P and it is awesome. I know I won't have a six pack in six weeks, but I can definitely tell the difference in my core...the way it feels, the way I move...and I feel strong!
Good luck!0 -

I am doing 6w6p and wrapping up week 3. I haven't taken any pics or measurements yet, but plan on taking midway measurements after completing week 3. I took measurements before I started 6w6p. I feel stronger in my core and gaining more strength and endurance.0 -

I finished the 30DS last week. Today was my 5th day of 6W6P Level 1 and though it doesn't feel especially over taxing during the workout, I swear I can physically see the difference. It's got me so excited.0
