SO I figured something out tonight...I have been dragging ALL DAY, really all week. I couldn't figure out why. So i was bad tonight and ate some sweet and sour chick BUT it was a small with white rice . ANYWAY i have energy! It totally perked me up. Normally when I used to eat it all the time it was like a weight. This makes me believe that I'm not eating enough fat and carbs daily. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Yep, I feel like that if I don't get enough carbs. I work afternoon shift and find if I don't have carbs with my dinner I crave them when I finish work. I guess I need them at dinner. I think if you feel better by adding a few back, that sort of give you your answer0

Carbs and fat are delicious - they make that bland flavour of protein taste so much better, of not mask it completely.0

When I was trying to reach my goal weight I did it carb free, I was starving and miserable ALL THE TIME.
Soon as I started maintaining I added carbs back in, and now I'm marathon training so I feel absolutely AMAZING! I have energy, I am happy and I am still thin.
Its all about moderation, carbs are a very efficient source of energy so you need to be careful how many you take in, but they aren't as evil as some people make them out to be.0 -
To be honest, when I saw your food diary, I was shocked because we are eating close to the same amount of calories but you are eating so, much less food. I would be so hungry and miserable. If you are going to add fat I would add it in the form of olive oil or avocados, to get those omega 3's in. I would try to incorporate some more whole foods, too. You will get more carbs, but they will be the slow carbs that will maintain a good level of energy. It's a learning experience, we all know the math and science to losing weight but we also need to know what works for us. You need to be satisfied. I had started juicing and starting getting hungry because I wan't eating enough other food, so I had to reduce the amount of juice I was drinking to increase the other foods. I would stick to the recommendations on here as much as possible. The ratios seem healthy and work well.0
