senna is a mild laxative. I wouldn't use it or any laxative for weight loss.
Best to just eat a healthy balanced diet, maintain a calorie deficit and engage in regular exercise.

Senna is a harsh laxative and can cause damage to your intestinal tract.

In any event, your colon is self-cleansing. If you are constipated, make sure you are getting enough fiber, water, and fat in your diet. If you are just thinking that your colon needs cleansing because a bunch of weirdos are talking about, rest assured that you would know if there was gunk stuck in there because it would be incredibly painful and qualify as a medical emergency.

i use a dieters tea occasionally.. I dont recommend you use it every day because your body could become depended on it. I usually use it once a week, or when i am having bathroom troubles. It did give me pretty bad stomach cramping the first few times, so beware.

It is tea that will make you poop. If you are constipated, take a laxative or "dieter's tea." If you are not constipated, then let the body do its thing naturally. Other than that, it is no better than popping Ex-Lax to try and lose weight.
  • I wouldnt touch that stuff. You are better off just replacing any coffee or sodas with unsweetened or mildly sweetened black or green tea.

Senna is one of the harshest laxatives out there--not recommended.
