Daily calories or weekly phasing?

Do you eat exactly your daily calorie allowance each day or do you even it out across the week?

    I even it out over the week and make a point of zig zagging - eg eating above on some days, below on others. This keeps the metabolism going and stops your body adjusting to a regular intake / calorie burn. See fat2fitradio.com, especially the podcast on avoiding plateaus.
  • Mixture - so on days where I am doing lots of exercise I will eat above allowance the day before to ensure I am properly fuelled up. Days where exercise isn't happening I eat exactly the allowance so I don't confuse metabolism with swings in nutrition
