I love these
enjoy Cazu Marsu and the varieties from Auvergne
I've had escamoles (ants) - nice, tastes like nuts.
I like andouillette - pig tripe sausage
but I find andouille (another pig tripe sausage, served cold) foul.
I love boudin and apples
I try to avoid any jellied meat here in Germany or France. Don't like that.
Balut? No thanks.0 -

I have eaten Balut several times. It's good. Very good with a beer. Then again, I am a traveler. Think Andrew Zimmern and Bizarre Foods. Yep, I look for bizarre foods everywhere I go.
Those people are weak though. I eat the duck.
Zimmern is a wimp. I watched the Japan episode recently, and he freaked out at normal foods. Dried squid is normal food. It's just jerky and he freaked out.
Balut is one of the very few foods I haven't tried. I don't think I would say no.
Squid steeped in squid guts is pretty tasty. I ordered it every time I saw it on the izakaya menu. And it makes a nice accompaniment to fresh tofu. MMMMMMM.

Toffee crumble. Looks like rabbit food or droppings from some kind of rodent, but tastes amazing, like chocolate fudgey toffee, yum.

I don't like to trim my ribeyes....
OH and the only part of thanksgiving turkey I really like is the skin.
That's pretty gross.
I'm the same way with both. mmm fat and grease, sign me up.
My husband completely autopsies his steaks, too. He always has this neat little pile left over and my plate is totally empty, with swipe marks from where I used bread to soak up the extra moo. Mmmm.0 -
A Ritz cracker, with Miracle Whip on top, and an anchovy wrapped around a caper nestled in the middlle. It's delicious but it looks like something the board of health would take samples of.0

I've had fried scorpion on a stick. It was fresh too. So good. Only had it in China. You can get them bagged at some Chinese stores, but it's not as good!!!0

I was born and raised in El Salvador. We make this soup/drink called CHUCO. It looks like diarrhea but tastes so awesome!! God I miss it!
Another thing I love is Roquefort Cheese but it looks like rotten cheese and it smells the same.0 -

The first time I tried vegemite, I mistook it for nutella. It wasn't a pleasant experience because I mixed with with jelly on my toast  :sick:0 -

This is molokhia:
And it's the love of my life. Ultimate comfort food. Perfect on top of some rice, all warm and gooey. I had an English friend over once and she got bug-eyed at how it looked. Said it seemed 'slimy' and I guess it does. Soon as she tried it, though...0 -
I mash canned lentil with chunks of tuna and spinach with small pieces of garlic and egg whites. Mixed together in one goooey glory it aparently looks like somebody already ate it, didnt like it, puked it out and then returned it on my plate.
Aparently the white chunks of egg whites and garlic look like human teeth too
Its friggin delicious, it is.
I'm one gross lass but ALL DEM PROTEINS MAN!0 -
