A new family favorite for breakfast:

Put 1/2c. rolled oats in the blender until crumbs.
Add:
1c. soy milk
1/2tsp vanilla
1tsp sugar
14 frozen strawberries
1 banana (sliced)
Blend to desired consistency.

Makes 2 smoothies (about 10oz each). YUM!

223 calories, and tons of vitamin C and calcium.

  • Sounds good. You could add some flax (or chia) for omega 3's. I love the taste of flax and it's so good for you. I put it in/on everything.

If you want to cut the calories a bit you could replace the soy milk with unsweetened almond milk and replace the sugar with a non nutritive sweetener like stevia or splenda.

I wonder what it would taste like if you used honey or agave instead of sugar or a substitute??
