I do a few exercise classes at a local gym that incorporate a plank- the kind where you brace yourself on your forearms. I have developed actual sores on my elbows from it. Am I doing something wrong in the way I am holding my arms to cause this, or is this normal?
Thanks!
Thanks!

ummm ... not normal I think. Assuming you don't move around on your elbows causing grazing (which is incorrect form) - maybe you have caught an infection from the mat? I always rest my elbows on my towel on a mat.0

It sounds like you should reposition your arms, like they are too far forward of your body and/or you are holding your forearms off the floor. Your weight should be mostly upon your forearms. If it still bothers your elbows, you might want to place a towel or mat under your elbows.0
