Getting the hang of it

Hi i'm a 31 year old dad who is after 3 weeks is starting to get the hang of eatting right portions. After My son was borne I did nothing but eat play with him and watch TV. Then got a reality check when I got my blood work done and saw the 450 for my tri's.
So now after a life time of eating whatever and how much I wanted I'm cutting back. I started at 270 and now down to 257 in a month. My goal is to get to 190 to 200 somewhere in there.
