Hi everyone,
I have lost 6 stone, 38KG or 84lbs since I decided on the the 26th January 2009 that I would loose weight.

I followed Rosemary Conely (UK diet & exercise programme) I monitored my fat intake <5gm per 100gm -the plus side was that I stopped having to take drugs for hiatus hernia & reflux within a week......
I lost 15½ lbs my first week of following the programme, and I stuck to it...... I exercised, I cut out alcohol and in 9 months I was lighter, toned and healther.

I am still lighter, granted 7lbs heavier, but I run ½ marathons, I exercise daily and I love me.......
I use MFP to keep me grounded..... I am naughty..... I love wine and chocolate, I have to decide if those calories I consume are worth the effort to expend them, then I eat & exercise or cut back my fun at the weekend....... I keep track with MFP & I like me

I am always asked if I feel 'different' 'better'....... no, I have lost weight..... I am me, I have always been me, I am an intelligent, amazing, wonderful, stunning, beautiful person. People loved/liked/respected me as me........

Now I am lighter, I physically do more, I conform to the accepted 'mores' of slim, to what society want to see....... but I am still the amazing, wonderful, intelligent, stunning, beautiful person I always was and I will be that person, if I loose the 7lb I have gained to make me look healthy, or get back to the 'heroin chic' I had in the national press.......
I am still gorgeous, slim and able to keep that way by eating like a normal person, being naughty and expending the calories I consume
MFP is an amazing tool, I use it with my fitbit & my intelligence to keep track of my calories, I know when I'm bad, I know when I'm good, MFP is my friend to get me back on track when I have enjoyed too many bubbly Valentine drinks!

I have learned to eat normally, I have lost weight by watching my portions/calories, cutting my fat and exercising more, MFP has assisted me to maintain a healthy weight, and I will continue to use it & follow the community, thanks peeps!
