Wish it was as fun to lose as it is to gain....

Hi all, been here for about a month but never friended anyone. Been dieting since Dec 26 and have lost around 20lbs, but am getting frustrated. I'm just looking for some friends to add for some encouragement, a few laughs, good conversation....maybe even a little nonsense. I been yoyo dieting for almost 20 years and am tired of getting frustrated after a few months of dieting. Looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Please add me for some mutual encouragement :)

I am younger, but if you're OK with that feel free to add me. I try to be as supportive as I can be, and it really does help when you have a bit of a "network", even if in reality, we are all just strangers :)

    It's kind of fun.

Getting on the scale and seeing smaller numbers is WAY more fun than getting on the scale and seeing ever increasing numbers.

Going down in clothes sizes is WAY more fun than having to buy bigger ones.

Noticing the changes in your body as it gets smaller is WAY more fun than the other way, "Hey look I have toes after all!" versus "I just know I had some toes around here somewhere - where the heck did they go?"

    etc.

Besides, now you get to hang out with us. :)

Great way to look at it and very true too!

I hear ya! Eating is one of my favourite things to do. But you know what's funny? I've been eating really healthy for a couple of months and last night I had boiled eggs on toast with hot sauce about an hour after a workout and it was soooooo good and satisfying. I think hunger can sometimes be the best seasoning, and now I appreciate everything I eat much more. What's more, darn it, I *earned* my egg, and it actually felt like a treat, rather like how I used to feel about doughnuts :)
