That would make you three quarters dead. 1/2=0.5 0.5/2=0.25

    1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4 Got that part.

So do you subtract the fraction from a whole living person or do you subtract one whole dead person from the fraction?

    (I don't want to fail.)

I was sure there was some sort of invisible force field dome thing that keeps them from leaving

    One further question:

If you continue get half scared to death, will you live forever, even if you're mostly dead?

Assuming that the starting point was a whole living person, you would use that. It would be impossible, even in theory to subtract the dead, as it's one of the few things in the world that is completely permanent after a certain point.

Though the opposite COULD work, assuming the dead person had only been dead for a couple of minutes.

I would say the limit would approach dead, but there would be an asymptote there so you would never fully reach it.

No - not forever. If you get scared half to death, effectively you have halved your life.

Eventually, the remaining half would be short enough that you would die naturally.

Actually, Batman has no superpowers at all, let alone anything indicating an animal transfusion.
