Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself...properly this time! I've been a member for a long while now but haven't religiously recorded my calorie intake or barely used any of the tools, up until 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I started doing the 5:2 diet and I have to say I'm loving it!
I'm *cough* 40 years old and originally from London, but living in Finland - which is indeed a very beautiful place to live, but admittedly I'm homesick. To help with the homesickness, I cook things to put me in my comfort zone. I love my food very much, I love to cook and because I love to cook, I tend to taste everything as I go along, so maybe that's where those extra calories get consumed! I'm not exactly overweight but I really need to get into good shape and lose around 5 or 6 kilos (more if possible). It seems like I've been on a diet ever since I was 20, just because of my relationship with food!
People may scoff (no pun intended) and think that a 6kg target is nothing, but trust me...it's the hardest part to shift - at least in my eyes! I have the wobbliest legs and bum and oh my abs could really do with a pummelling, too! I do like to work out when I can and lately I've been able to fit in jogging, Zumba and Jillian Michaels' '30 Day Shred' all three times a week. Still the wobble is there....but hopefully, with my friend named 'Water' :drinker: I'll get there eventually!
So that's me...in a nutshell! Oh there I go mentioning food again...oops!
