edited January 14 in Introduce Yourself
Hi there, I read once in a while but I'm really bad at writting but I decided to introduce myself so here I go.
I'm Rafael, 39 and I've been overweighted all my life. I have been on diets several times and I'm quite good at loosing weight but terrible maintaining it. Anyways, in 1997 I lost 20 kgs (around 40 lbs) but then I got it back, actually I gained 10 more Kgs on top of the 20 I lost. In 2007 I was close to 130 kg and I had a gastric balloon and I went from 130 to 100 Kgs. This time I definetely changed the way I ate but again I bounced back to 130 Kgs late 2012. Like I said I changed the way I eat and now I think I figured out what my problem is. IT IS ALCOHOL, damnnnn and I love drinking. Honestly, I never thought about how many calories it does have, it's $%#$$$ crazy.

I'm not planning to give up alcohol because I like it, but I'm taking a break (for three months) so it will help me you know cleanse my body, help my liver and of course lose some weight. I started counting calories, which I like it, in January 7 and so far (Feb 15), I have lost 10 Kgs (22 lbs) so I'm quite happy with my progress but I know the whole idea of this change of habits is stay on the path rather than getting to your destination. So I'm not in a hurry to be honest. I've been trying to jog 3 Km everyday and I do weights 3 times a week. I'm planing to do insanity the second week of April but I'm trying to regain my condition first.

Well it's kind of too much for an introduction but I just wanted to say thank you for all your stories because they have helped me to keep going. Feel free to add me as a friend. Sorry for the metric system but I was born in Venezuela and live in Canada so I'll try my best to convert the units.

Cheers
Hopefully I can share some pics by the end of the year
