Hi there,
I have visited this forum several times over the last few months and I appreciate all the advice and comfort I have found here. Today, I finally decided to register and make a post.
I am 29 years old and have been losing weight since last summer. I was always a big guy, I was extremely unfit but I got fed up of it all and decided to make a drastic change before I hit 30. I completely overhauled my diet after hours of research, completely eliminated some foods, replaced some with healthier options and bought myself an exercise bike. The exercise routine took a while to develop but I am currently doing 50 minutes a time, 5 times a week and covering a distance of approximately 16 miles on a mid to high resistance/climb setting. I am planning to start a weight lifting routine eventually too.
My starting weight was 142 Kg (313lb) and I am currently at 99.5 Kg (219lb). My target weight is currently 83 Kg (182lb) which I believe is relatively healthy in relation to my height (6ft 1").
I have been weighing myself every Friday for the last 7 months or so and for the first time since I started I didn't lose (or gain) any weight this week and, if I'm honest, it put me down slightly. So, I came here to surround myself with others who are going through similar situations in an attempt to maintain a positive attitude.
Anyway, it's nice to meet you all and I look forward to sharing experiences with everyone.
