Calories in Chinese Food Dinner for One

Hey everyone hubby and I are getting Chinese takeout tonight and we get the dinner for two. How many calories are in your typical dinner for one meal. (Which would he my portion)

    That would definitly depend on what you are having and how it is prepared. Perhaps your restaurant has nutrition info on their website. That would give you a better clue. There are certain restaurants I do not go to anymore because of the nutrition info on their website. On the other hand, there are those I do go to and can plan for the calories. You can also make the same dish at home but slim it down considerably if you try. That might be a better option for you. And of course brown rice is so much better for you than white.

    Thanks for the help. But it is a small town place no website :(. I may get something more healthy or count it as 1500 cals!! Lol

    My small town chinese food place has a healthy/dietary restriction area on the menu. They have protein and veggies steamed with white rice on the side and sauce on the side. I got shrimp and broccoli and it was super-delicious and easy to count the calories. I only had to estimate the sauce and there was a listing in the database for chinese takeout brown sauce...so I used that. I have to say that I was stuffed and didn't feel deprived...and it wasn't a 1500 calorie meal!
