Sportline Heart Rate + Calorie Monitor

Confusion has set in since I bought this two weeks ago!
I have heard that you need to run the monitor a few times before it so called calibrates itself.
But, I do two hour workouts on the weekends and the calories burned has varied so much!
MFP says I burned 1052 calories and the HR+CA Monitor says 2131....anyone know why there is such a large difference?

I have two of these Sportline watches (one with pedometer one without). While it seems to get heart rate right and I finally got it adjusted with stride to get mileage close to right both of them way overestimate my calorie burn. It might not be as bad since you're male, but I wouldn't trust it.0

I ran (5 mph) on my treadmill for two hours0

Disclaimer: I am not sure how accurate this is, but you can calculate your burn by mileage, too.

Here is what I come up with for one of my piddling slow runs, it seems about right:
Distance:
2 miles
Duration:
55:00
Pace:
27:30 / mile
Calories Burned:
200
Calorie Burn Rates:
99.83 / mile
217.8 / hour
3.63/ minute0 -

If it was flat, it was probably very close to MFP's estimate, assuming your weight ~140lbs per your ticker.
From http://www.runnersworld.com/weight-loss/how-many-calories-are-you-really-burning-0?page=single
140lbs * 0.75 * 10 miles = 1050 cals0 -
Guess I should just wait a little longer for the monitor to calibrate correctly
