I go over on protein EVERY day. What damage could that do?

You're using the MFP defaults for macronutrients which are fairly low on protein. You can change them by setting custom goals. Many folks recommend 40-30-30 - that's 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats - for weight loss.

So many people give out percentages of what macros you need, but your body doesn't have a calculator making sure you get the perfect percentage of each macros for your goals. You need to adjust how much you get of each to meet your goals. Remember that if you are a sedentary person than you do not necessarily NEED carbohydrates.
By the way, studies have shown that a high protein diet (300g+ of protein) does not cause any damage unless the person has a preexisting condition. And I guarantee that you are not consuming that many.
