...me going over my carb and calorie limit ! I just keep going over every day and want to lose this last 30lbs. My food diary is a little uninspiring, if anyone wants to take a peep and suggest alternatives that would really help!

Not sure what your weight loss goal is but 1200 cals a day seems low, so when you go "over" your probably eating what most others here trying to lose eat. Does that make sense? You may just need to increase your calorie goal.0

I am by no means an expert. I can't seem to lose my last 10 pounds at all. After looking at your diary at a few days, try eating leaner meats. The pork chops, bacon and sausage seems to be adding alot of calories. As well as the avocado. I eat low carb, and can't keep my calories high enough. I usually only eat grilled chicken breasts, eggs, and a slice of bacon or so a day for protein. For me I have a hard time with my sodium because I eat too much salsa to add flavor. So I would say leaner meats.
Good luck!0 -

That's why I'm no expert and not losing my weight. Sorry! Was just saying ways to reduce calories. What they said here does make sense. Should follow it myself.0 -
I think if you add a lot more fruit and veggies of different varieties you wouldn't be as tempted to eat sugar. Also, I agree you do seem to be eating lots of bacon. Maybe eat a bit less bacon and more chicken, fish, beef, beans and nut butters.0

I'd start by upping your calorie goal. If you're constantly going over it's likely because your goal is not appropriate. Do you know your BMR and TDEE?
Your carb goal is really low. Is there a reason you're cutting them?0 -
If you picked a 2lb loss/week - change it to 0.5-1lbloss. make sure you pick the right activity level. Don't pick sedentary because you think you'll lose faster. And also remember that MFP's TDEE #s are different from other TDEE sites because they expect you to eat your exercise calories back.
Or, If you want, check out this link by MFPer Heliotsdan - It'll give you a detailed walkthrough (with pictures even) on finding your TDEE and calculating what you should be eating.

Also, if you are worried about the calorie intake, I also suggest you read this thread that has numerous people who met their goals and are maintaining. Some for years and they also provide their calorie intake and how often they work out.

For eating below their BMR (which I think 1200 is below your BMR to be honest), not going to preach at you, but here's something you might want to look at:

Yes, this is can all be overwhelming and complicated , but you are more than welcome to ask questions on the post.
One of the things that I have found that has been one of the best methods for me to get fit is to understand fitness. To understand where all these figures, etc come from.
The good thing is once you get the hang of it - it is something you'll be aware of constantly and you'll get a better understanding about your eating habits.
So I HIGHLY suggest making the effort to take every chance to educate yourself. Even if you don't end up going with any of these methods, calculations, etc - at least you understand what they are, where others are coming from, and maybe they will still be able to help you figure out what is best for you.0
