I'm eating too much protein

Started watching what I eat about 3 weeks ago. Started here a week ago. I have lost 5 lbs so far which I know is too much.
I am a busy mom and an RN with little free time. I am trying to get the hang of this. I weigh 188.5 and my healthy weight is about 130 lbs. I have chosen to loose 1 lb a week so I have 1280 calories to work with.
As I look at my journal I am doing okay but eating way too much protein.
Any advice is welcome

MFP's protein recommendation is on the low side. I wouldn't worry about going over their recommendation. If I recall, its about 15% of your total daily calories (protein is 4 calories per gram). I have manually set my own protein recommendation to about 30% of my calories.0

Can you point me in the direction to make that change for myself also?0

You aren't eating too much, no need to worry0

I eat 30% protein.
WAY more than what MFP recommends which is pretty low.0 -
You're not eating too much. Generally for a person who is exercising it's recommended that you get 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. For me that's 97-98 grams (I'm 130 lbs, 25% body fat, so 130 x 75% = 97.5).0

Ditto. I eat about 1400 calories and about 120 grams of protein.0 -

Go to goals, choose custom.0 -

In "Home" go to "goals" "change" "custom"0 -
Ok. I feel a bit better then. I was staring to worry about the RED protein total being there everyday! Now I just have to work some variety into my diet. What I found when I started listing my food daily is that I was under eating and only taking in about 900 calories a day. No wonder I have not been able to lose weight.0

I aim for at least 100 grams a day0
