Of course it does, your body doesn't have to fight as much against gravity. :p

No, losing weight does not make you taller.

Strength training can help your muscles and posture making you appear taller but you won't get taller by losing weight. (Some people who have a lot of weight to lose might stand taller/straighter as they lose weight). Again no actual height change but taller appearance.

    I hope so!

Who knows, maybe it could fractionally help if you're like me and your spine tends to compress.

Wishful thinking? Oh well, either way, my spine is so much happier now that I've lost weight I guess I can cope with being short!

Perhaps you gain 1/4 if an inch if you currently walk with your shoulders rolled forward and then the weight loss helps you stand prouder and with better posture. But that's not getting taller. It's becoming more confident and feeling better about yourself.

    Things that make you taller:

    Gravity
    Shoes
Certain medications which is illegal unless prescribed from a dr.
    Standing on a ladder
    Riding piggyback
    Stilts

Things that don't make you taller:

    Losing weight

lf anything, losing weight might help with your posture. Good question though :-) Have a good one!

You are most likely past the bone plate growing stage so growth hormones are probably not going to work. You'll probably have to stick to piggy back rides!

I think that I *look* taller because my legs are slimmer. But no, you will not actually get taller from losing weight.

What if you have particularly fat feet and you lose weight from the soles... maybe you'd get shorter... :smokin:

Yep. And a baller. And girl who looks good so you can call her.

As well as a rabbit in a hat with a bat, and a '64 Impala.

Well, that would be great for those of us who are vertically challenged! LOL

    But no...

In fact... as you lose weight, your clothes might get LONGER (since they don't have as many curves to work around), which makes it feel like you're getting shorter!! I had to get rid of some of my clothes because they became too long as some of me disappeared!
