Muscle from working out, or?!..

Hey everyone.
When I originally started losing weight I lost around 7 kilos, no exercise just watching what I ate. However, now that I've added exercise in for the past 1.5 weeks (30 Day Shred, if that's any help) I haven't lost anything. It's fair to say that I do have fat to lose, LOL. Would I be correct in thinking that I have lost fat and gained muscle/ retained water due to working out? (:
It's a little discouraging not seeing a difference, which is why I'm not going to weight myself for a whole month, but I just thought I'd ask as I'm not too familiar with this whole thing.
ALSO, I think that it feels like I haven't lost any weight a lot longer than it's actually been, which again plays havoc on my mind.

Probably your body is retaining water in order to repair muscle. It may do so for several weeks, you never know when it will go away. Just ignore it and keep doing what you're doing.0 -

Try taking measurements as well as weight eg waist, hip etc. this could be helpful to try to see if you lose fat, and gain muscle0

I didn't lose any weight when I did ripped in 30 but lost 2 inches off my waist and half an inch off my thighs if that helps at all...0

Thanks for the replies.
Now, if you were a measuring tape, where would you hide?
I can't seem to find it.0
