Getting back on the horse?

Hey
Well, i've previously had quite a lot of success and dropped 120lbs but about 30lb have crept back on due (in part) to me having a bad back and being unable to exercise how I did previously. My diet went back to being poor as well (no excuses for that part) and now that my back is fixed I am ready to start again in my quest for a healthy lifestyle and body.
My problem is that even though I do feel ready, I am having trouble being motivated to log my foods or kick the treadmill's *kitten* etc. I was wondering how people in similar situations managed to 'get back on the horse'?
Thank you

I'd like to hear the answers as well. I took a month off from exercise due to my becoming obsessive about it. Big, Huge mistake because now I cannot get motivated to "get back on the horse" to start up my exercise regularly or to push myself to improve.0

I've fallen off the wagon many times, and you really do just need to hit a point where enough is enough. You have to make the decision, and you have to decide the time and effort of logging and exercise is worth it. Personally, I came to the realization that I have to become slightly obsessive. It's how I got my finances into shape. I'd check my accounts everyday and read up more information about improving finances every single day. So, I decided to go about my weight loss with the same vigor. I read a lot on these forums, and try to read all the articles that I find links to (some are crap, some are not, but to know the difference, you need to read both). I log in every day, and I've started weighing all of my food with a scale.
ETA: I have my diary open, and my friends will often comment on it for the day, so I know they're looking at it. I don't want to shame myself by going over all the time.0 -
Yeah I think I am going to have to just go for it and be very regimental about it all, otherwise I will slip back to my old ways again. Thanks!0
