I am new to this...and I'm also very bad at maths... I have tried to calculate it with the MFP but wanted a second opinion
I made 2 litres of soup with the following:
6 medium potatoes, peeled
6 leeks
1 stock cube
water
I'm not sure how to calculate the total calories and the calories in each bowl serving... :blushing:

The recipe database will do this for you.
Just tell it how many servings it has.0 -
Sorry to be a little dumb but..what unit of measurement is a serving? like a bowl? :blushing:0

... Like a serving could be 2 cups or 1 cup. It's up to you.0

1. Potato medium average 164 calories x 6 = 984
2. Leek 1 medium raw (89.0 g) average 50 calories x 6 = 300
3. stock cube 7 calories ?
984+300+7=1291 calories in 2 liters of soup or 2000ml
1291 / 2000= 0.64 calories per ml of homemade soup
Say you have a 250 ml serving that would be 250 x .64 = 160 calories
Hope this helps you out!0 -
thank you SO much!0
