Craving sugar after exercise!

I am finding that after an intense workout, I crave sugar! Like it's so intense I just want to scarf down a whole candy bar in 2.5 seconds. Lol. Does this happen to anyone else? I usually eat greek yogurt with berries instead, thankfully. But I am just wondering whats up with that?

Yes I do as well. My trainer said to eat within the first 30 minutes after the gym because your metabolism is at it's high. A lot of people tend to go with protein bars but I feel like a majority of them are full of calories and don't feel my craving. What I have typically done is either protein shake (chocolate ice cream flavor, yummm!) and an apple with peanut butter on it. After I have done it once my body naturally starts craving it after workouts, it's wild how the body works!0

Nothing better than a tall.cold glass of chocolate milk after working out.0

Chocolate milk (no-fat) and whey protein for me. I never craved sugar but I craved salt but not anymore. I think as time goes by, like mine, that craving will pass.0

Depending on how intense your excersise is you might need something DURING your workout. On long runs I eat a couple of skittles (easy way to get sugar fast) every now and then. Only for LONG workout though, cardio sessions of an hour+0
