Any good books motivating you to lose weight?

I have recently read a great book The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. It is not specifically about weight loss but goes down to the psychology of our habits whether they relate to our weight, smoking, drinking etc. I personally found it very interesting. What other books have you read that helped you stay dedicated to your goal or motivated you to lose weight?

I am currently re-reading The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. Like the book you mentioned it isn't about weight loss specifically. It is more about general happiness and motivation.

In general, it is about the importance of a positive mind set. Basic premise: A lot of people think that once they are "successful" they will be happy, but sometimes it is actually being "happy" first that helps people become successful. Whether you agree or not, you can definitely see how it can apply to something like weight loss.

This book was one piece of motivation that spurred on my lifestyle change.

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg is a wonderful read. I have also enjoyed Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes. It is sad though to observe we are now so far into the winter that the post-holiday diet book stand just past the front door of Barnes and Noble stores and those alike is no longer. Novelty has worn off on New Year's resolutions, and we are as fat and habitual as ever.
