Natural Sugars

Hey all,

New to this posting malarky, but I was just curious about whether many people often go over their daily sugar "allowance" on MFP?
I had fruit and yogurt this morning instead of the usual healthy cereal and my sugar levels were over the limit just after recording my breakfast!
Surely fruit's good for you though? Obviously everything in moderation though I guess.....

I just really wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this particular conundrum that I seem to be in!? Anyone else in the same boat? Not sure whether cutting down on fruit will make me reach for something less healthy instead!

  • I was just wondering the exact same thing. My goal is 32g of sugar per day. Today I have had a pink lady apple and a medium banana which alone is 28g's. I'm not to worried, as you mentioned, surely these natural sugars are ok in moderation. It would just be easier to track how much "artificial sugar" I was consuming.

My issue is regulating sugar--both natural and artificial--and sodium.
