Food Diary

I am having a very hard time eating all the necessary calories without going over protein, sugar and fat. How do I find balance? Any suggestions? Even eating vegetables contains too much sugar. I am gluten free which helps reduce inflammation in my joints and I am off processed sugar.

If it's sugar from natural sources, like fruits & veggies, I wouldn't worry about it. MFP's settings for protein are notoriously low, so I wouldn't worry about going over that either. I'm almost always over on my fats, but the majority of it comes from olive & coconut oils, nuts, avocados and eggs rather than junk, so I don't fret over that one either.

LOL Basically if these things are coming from healthy foods, it's not a big deal, unless you're going waaaaay over by eating a 1/2 a jar of peanut butter or something.

You can always customize your macros to what you would need. I changed mine to 33%/33%/33% for fat/carbs/protein

MFP goal for protein is on the low side. The carbs are on the higher side. I can't remember what the default for fat is.
Personally, I've changed my goals manually. I prefer to eat more protein and fewer carbs (not low carb). Mine is set for 40% carbs, 30% protein (double the MFP recommendation) and 30% fat.
I don't monitor sugar, it is counted in carbs anyway.

Jillian Michaels said that the ideal ratio is 40/30/30 just like 3dogsrunning is using.
