Hi all-
I found Myfitnesspal about 2 weeks ago. When I remember to add food/exercise I have to say I really like the way it works.
I haven't eaten healthy or exercised everyday, but I have noticed that I have better days when I add my daily info to the website.
I have gained about 30 pounds in 10 years. Total I need to lose about 40-50.
Seems so hard when there are so many obstacles out there-great tasting foods that are SO unhealthy (as my father-in-laws doctor told him-"If it tastes good, spit it out. "), finding time to actually FEEL like exercising.
I did P90X two years ago, faithfully for 9 weeks, and while my body changed shape I only lost 5 pounds. I was done after that. Now I am ready to start again. I like the Cardio X from P90X as it works out all parts of your body.
Anyway, enough about me-I am here to try and turn it around as I am only a few years from 50 (OMG-so hard to see that!) Exercise makes me feel better and think clearer. Eating healthy gives me more energy. Now to remember that everyday!!

Welcome to my fitnesspal! IT made me realize just how many sweets I eat and I love sweets! :O I hope u can achieve your goals! IF u need moral support, add me
I try to add everything I eat (I write what I eat on my hand and hope I Remember to write down the calories of it as well so I don't have to search the data base!). All I can say is to avoid McDonald's Salad. It may seem healthy but it's almost as bad as having two Big Macs (and that's WITHOUT the salad dressing!!!

Thank you! I am not sure how to add anyone, but will see if I can figure it out.
This sounds dumb, but I tend to forget that I am trying to change my eating habits. I swear I have adult onset ADD and I just have so much always running through my mind that the eat healthy thing seems to get forgotten during the day! LOL
Writing on your hand is something I have never thoght of-that IS a good idea! A must try!!
As for McDonalds-their fish sandwich is my downfall. Love. love, love them! I don't eat there much, luckily.
Anyway, thanks for your reply. It is much appreciated. Better to have support than go it alone.0 -
Thanks for your reply. I love that is shows you how much you would weigh in a few weeks if you continue with a certain calorie count and calories you have burned. You are actually able to have a future outlook!
I hope to see my ticker move down soon!
