edited January 14 in Introduce Yourself
I turned 50 in November and decided I had to do something. I was in denial about my age and knew I had to get in the right frame of mind in order to lose weight. A friend introduced me to MFP in January and I haven't looked back. It's not easy, but I knew it wouldn't be. It is however, a lot easier than when I did WW. For some reason counting points just wasn't for me. With MFP, I am more aware of what I am eating. In the beginning I looked at my daily calories like I look at money. I had some at the beginning of the day, but by the end of the day, I had no idea where they went. lol Now, I make sure I use my calories on foods that fill and satisfy me. I also take Raspberry Ketone twice a day and it has really helped with the cravings. I have not craved anything that would make me break my diet for. Even chocolate, which is a huge downfall for me. Support is what we all need to succeed, friend me and we can support each other.

Hi, I'm Debra. I turned 50 last week. Losing fat is so much harder as I've aged but I'm focusing more on eating healthy and moving more. I thought I had really fallen off the wagon today but logged every bite I put in my mouth and found I'm only 275 calories over my goal. That's far better than my cheat days used to be. My commitment is to get right back in it -- spin class in the morning and a well planned day of healthy meals. Best of luck to you!
  • I'm new too. I love how MFP can make you realize what you are actually eating. It showed me I was way high on the carbs! I turned 50 last year. I love to walk, bike, and make up my own aerobics/calisthenics routine to music. Just keep moving, I say! And I think it's working! Yippee! Anyone can add me. I need motivation and, since I start and stop things easily, I need encouragement to keep it up.
