NSV - Tricked myself into the right caloric intake!

Well, I had been having a hard time staying under my calorie limit at 1400 approx. in order to lose one pound a week. It was very discouraging. I was about ready to give up, but instead decided to reset my goal to lose 1/2 lb a week. That was three days ago. For the past three days I have been eating less than I was before averaging slightly under my original goal. How weird is that?!

I guess it is a mind thing!

If I learned anything from this, it would be to start small and ease yourself back into the habit of eating the correct portions! I have been on here before and lost 12 lbs in about 3 months, so I know it's possible. We just have to find out what works best.

Thanks for reading and good luck!

I have to agree..mentally we look at the numbers and almost panic..I do that with my weight watchers calculator but if I just eat and not worry about it I am actually under calories.

I think part of it is a very human response on how we psychologically deal with feelings of deprivation.

For many of us if we feel denied then we become overly preoccupied with the thing that is being withheld. If we don't then it ceases to be an issue and, as you have found, we spontaneously find it easier to be where we need to be.

    Mind games babyyyyyyyyyyyy.
