Detox Bath- 1 Me- 0

So I took a detox bath tonight and it totally knocked me on my *kitten* literally! Please Note I didn't do it for weight loss, just to try and balance out my crazy sodium levels this week and relax myself.
I had added Epsom salts and some baking soda, mixed in some steamy water and crawled in to watch a show and relax.
I'd been warned detox bathes can make you feel a little sick, but when I got out of the tub I was ready to vomit (although I did not), extremely fatigued (could barely lift my arms), my heart was pounding, and I was so dizzy! I had to sit down on the bathroom floor. It was crazy.
I'm feeling a little better now, but the nausea and extreme fatigue is lingering around.
Anyways was just curious if anyone else has experienced this or anything similar. Also if you have did it go away?

How would taking any kind of bath affect the sodium level inside your body?0

Hey,
I've tried this & I absolutley love it. I usually add a bit of Lavender oil for extra relaxtion. I cant say its ever made me feel sick though. I always try to have plenty of water in easy reach & make sure I have a window open so I dont overheat. Maybe dont add as much of the ingredients? I normally do half a cup of epsoms salts and half a cup of baking soda with 3 drops of lavender. I didnt know it was supossed to do anything for your sodium levels though? I just do it because I find it relaxing & have a great sleep afterwards.
I hope if you decide to try it again it goes better for you Maybe just make sure someone else is home in case you feel ill again & need help
Also maybe if you were watching a show as you say could it be that you stayed in too long? i normally dont go over 15minutes.0 -
Hmm maybe I heard wrong about the sodium! But still it was more intended for relaxation. Thanks for the feed back! Maybe I'll try opening a window next time. Maybe I over heated!0
