I just won the LOTTO!!!!! kidding again. Increasing calories

I recently posted about eating 1200 because that is what MFP told me to do. "Would you jump off a cliff if your friends were?" I know. It is the age-old story. Don't believe everything you are told. What is right isn't ever what is easy. Never eat the yellow snow! I know the cliches, and I think I knew that those in the failure percentage were probably those who went too hard, plateaued and then got stuck. I don't want to be one of those because I don't feel like that at all. I am in it. I am here!

I have calculated my BMR today to be 1650 (5'4'' 24 years old), and I am set at 1200 from the initial setup of my account. I have, with great pain, made the decision to up my intake. I say great pain because I love seeing that "1.7lb/week" projection and the projection dropping to 0.7 makes me a little bummed. I know that isn't sustainable, but gosh it looks pretty. I feel fine at 1200 calories, but I know that is not a safe guage, and I don't feel hungry (also a stupid guage). I had many great people inform me about this magic BMR number, and I am happy to up the intake. OH THE THINGS I CAN DO WITH THAT AMOUNT (especially since I wasn't hungry with 1200). We used to blend a few fruits and raw almonds in the morning, and I can now participate in that. YAY! I can even have a little bit larger of a breakfast! (eat like a king for breakfast, a prince at lunch, and a pauper for dinner is the believed method for a healthy metabolism and healthy sleep/digestion/and balance). I was eating a big breakfast, but it left me with next to nothing for lunch and dinner. Now I can go back to that.

Why am I posting this rhetorical topic? It isn't rhetorical!! While I am happy with the decision, I am still struggling with believing it will work. I just wanted people with success stories of eating above their BMR instead of the preset 1200 to tell me it was a good choice! I love reading the success stories!
