These noodles expired 7 months ago, can I still eat them?

I bought my mom shiritaki yam noodles because they're gluten free (I personally love them, lol I know most people don't), but she didn't like them apparently and never ate them. I found them in the fridge and they're 7 months expired...can I eat them? And I don't mean will they taste good, I don't care, but will I get sick? I'm a college student, and they are food.

    Yes.

Expired milk, cheese, meat (unless frozen) no.

Most of those things you store on a shelf can last years after expiration. At the very least - the chances of dying from it are very low! ;)
  • Yes, eat them, I'm a University student too, and I'd eat them. nom nom nom.

    Yes.

Most processed food lasts a very long time.

Although I are taco shells that were 18 months out if date and I have to admit they were gross. Didn't make me sick though.

I'd just be careful if they're something that HAS to be kept in the fridge (because I don't know what they are, whoops!) but I remember being a student, and I lived off out of date food that had been reduced at the supermarket!

Having worked as a commercial cook for two and a half years - my perspective is that one doesn't touch anything after it has expired.
Others might eat the noodles, but not me.
    kind regards,

    Ben

Shiritaki noodles are not shelf stable. They are in the refrigerated section of the store for a reason!

I guess you've got the ones with the preservatives then, or the dry ones. You are ok. :drinker:

I've eaten out of date food loads. If it looks and smells ok then I will use it, I'm a risk taker lol. In saying that I am talking a few days here not 7 months. If it was 7 months out of date it would go straight in the bin.
