    I'll be interested in what everyone else has to say on this. I often wonder about that myself. My glasses hold around half a pint I think. So I try to drink 8 of those a day. Often unsuccessfully!

    250ml = 1 cup

    so if i finish a half litre bottle of water that would be 2 cups , 8cups a day = 2litres or 4bottles of water (although i have like 5litres which isnt good)

    8 oz is a cup or 250 ml depending on which you use.

    I have a "sipper" bottle with markings on the side in 8 oz increments; up to 24 oz (I consider that 3 glasses). I try to drink 4 of those. A personal trainer at my gym told me that according to my BMI, I should be drinking 90 oz of water a day. I about fell over.

    But to help, I found a recipe to help flush toxins from the body. It uses cucumber, lemon, ginger and mint. Mixed correctly it can taste like Spa water. It helps me get those 90 oz down. Word of caution, keep it refrigerated/cooled. If it gets too warm it turns bitter.

    You can find the recipe by googling "cucumber lemon water".

    1 pint is 16 oz, which is 2 cups.

    Everyone's "glass" that they drink out of can very well be different. Take a liquid measure and see how many liquid cups yours holds and use that as your standard of how many you need to get in 8 cups (64 oounces) of water a day

    If she's in the UK and/or referring to Imperial pints then it would be 20oz or 2.5 cups.

    I personally tend to consider any amount >= 8oz taken from a single cup as one serving, even if it means I underestimate my intake a bit. It also means I don't need to worry about filling to an exact line. I'd rather drink more water than I tell my program than less.
