Really strange question....

What does it feel like when you loose fat!?
Haha, when you are loosing weight, the fat is going (obviously) but I just had a thought, does it feel different? As in I was poking my hips this morn and they felt more squishy, just wondering if anyone gets the same and is it coz the fat is going? Im hoping the answer is YES! lol
Weird i know but I did warn!!

At the first stage I had the feeling that i'm more wibbly wobbly , like the fat went "loose".
Felt like it was less dense perhaps?
I suspect tho its just the fat under your skin dissapearing and the skin going "huh, what?" a bit.
It normalises later when the skin stops being confused.
Tho best feeling ever is when yer hip bones or collar bones or even ribs pop from under the fat , first time in YEARS and are like "sup?" and you are like "oh baby, you are the prettiest little collar bone I ever saw..
    I got derailed...
Yeah, the fat feels different, tho i think it's skins fault.
    Hope that helps.
    Prolly not >.<

It can certainly feel like this as your skin may not shrink faster than your fat stores. I remember having an "old man" belly that was very stiff to the touch. Not sure how fast you are losing, but after losing 25 lbs I slowed it down so that my skin could stay tight and it has largely worked.

Wow 25lb is a great loss.
I have lost 7lb out of the 16 that im trying to lose at a rate of 1lb a week.
The fat feels less dense I guess

I thought it was more of building muscle under fat. I definitely notice this in my thighs, in fact I feel like they are getting bigger but it' s b/c they are wobbly. All I can do is keep trucking and do more squats

First time I saw my ABS, I remember everything being loose. Now it's tighter. A lot tighter but it took almost a year. And my AB muscles grew a bit so that helped. But yeah, pretty soft at first till your skin adjusts.
  • For some people they get "squishy fat" because the adipocytes have lost some of the lipids inside of them so the fat cells hold onto water to retain their shape. Then the body eventually signals the fat cells to let go of the water. This is when you'll lose weight in "whooshes". So this could be a really good sign. There's a good chance that you'll notice you lost a few pounds if you get on the scale in the next few days.
