do i need to adjust my TDEE on rest days/lighter workout days (1-2 days/week), or eat the recommended amount every day no matter my activity level?

I understood it that the TDEE assumes you will have rest days - I commit to 3/4 days of exercise, which it counts as moderately active. So on the rest days, I'm still moderately active within that week, and next week I would recalculate it.

So no, you wouldn't need to change it every day.

I wouldn't change it. In fact I find that I eat slightly more on rest days than on workoit days. I attribute that to the body trying to replenish itself.

same...it's so much easier for me to eat at a deficit when i work out. if i don't have a workout i'm just perpetually hungry.

You're welcome! I spent a long time trying to figure it out too.
