Hi! I actually joined several months ago--my significant other and I tried to do a joint weight-loss venture, but we both fell out of the habit for a long while.

I kind of figured with the new year, I'd try again, and so far I'm doing really well. I've cut back significantly on soda, I'm trying to intake more fruits and vegetables, and I'm trying to be more active. Though honestly, I don't own a scale; what I've been using is my WiiFit board. I've been trying to do the Free Run minigame a few times a week, and when it warms up, I'd like to try jogging outside for real. But I do notice my clothes fitting looser, and that's morale booster enough.

A friend invited me to join her on a 5k race in June, and while I haven't committed, I've been keeping it in my head as a good goal to strive towards. I've always been terrible at running, but I'd like to prove to myself that I can complete an event like that.

I've tried convincing a couple IRL friends to join the site and lose with me, but this thing happens where they keep up with it for a couple weeks and then get really busy and don't have time to log in anymore. I feel like I've been doing this pretty solo so far, and I could use some consistent motivation!
