Back and with goals this time!

I have used MyFitnessPal in the past to track my food and exercise; however, it was for the pure and simple fact of seeing the numbers related to what I was eating and what I was working off. While I am already quite petite, and not looking to try to lose any weight (in fact, if I could gain a "healthy" 10 lbs, I wouldn't mind), I am still interested in the "numbers" side of things. This time, I'm here with a goal and hope to be able to stay motivated enough to stick with it. I've made a few new friends here already today, and welcome any other requests from those looking for that mutual motivation.
A little background is that I used to suffer from gallbladder attacks (rarely, but that was plenty) over the last 12 years or so. Just last month I started to have some of the symptoms again, and although I didn't have a full-on attack before going to have it checked out, after about 3 weeks of extremely healthy eating, two ultrasounds, lab tests, and a HIDA scan, it was determined that the ejection rate was low enough that it was recommended I have it removed. I had surgery on 1/30/13 to have it removed, laparoscopically, and although I have been a little adventurous with a few foods, it was mainly to test out the good ol' digestive system now that it is "missing a piece" so to speak. Although, contrary to what I had been "warned" of, my digestive system didn't let me down, I have made the choice to try to only treat myself to those less healthy foods on occasion, and to try to maintain a much healthier eating lifestyle, as I have in the past.
Aside from the goal to continue to eat healthier, I have also set my mind on running my first 5k sometime this year, so now that I've been cleared to go back to running, I am looking to start working on that goal as well. Any, and all, encouragement is welcome! I will also try to do my part to keep the motivation going! Good luck to us all!
