Fitness Ladies for Dating Advice Please

I met what seems to be a pretty awesome girl of your type who I think if even possible might be more of a health/fitness nut than me.

Now I've picked up that she is a pretty picky and a healthy eat so I was lost for a while on where I could take her on a first date.

The idea finally hit me to look no further than my confidence in my kitchen skills and healthy ways so to invite her for a warm grilled chicken and baked sweet potato meal.

Anyways she seemed very excited, happy, and agreed.

My concerns are on how you ladies would feel about a guy doing this on a first date?

I would never do this with an ordinary girl but I respect her health nut and feel like I need to bend the rules slightly.

P.S. I have not broken the news to her about MFP or my tracking obsession. Maybe if she can prove herself and make it past a few dates.

    I think it's a cute idea.

How well do you know her? It's a fine idea, unless you are barely acquainted and then it might seem a bit creepy. Are there any vegan or vegan-friendly restaurants around you? Those usually have healthy options. You could also go for an "active date" and go hiking or take her ice skating/rollerskating/rock climbing and forgo food altogether.

On one of my first dates with my husband he invited me over and cooked for me. I knew him for a while before that, we worked together, so I wasn't nervous about being alone with him in his apartment. The good news is that he has remained the main cook of our family over the last 20+ years, which is nice.

A guy I am familiar with that I am attracted to asks to cook for me for our first date? I think I'd be in heaven! As long as you didn't just meet the girl it's an excellent idea. She'll love the "healthy at home eats" too. Your dinner shows not only that you can cook but also that you care enough to take her into consideration. ^_^

She will not be freaked out or intimidated!

I think I am putting in a little bit of effort and showing interest by not doing the typical easy way out. If she gets that much out of it I will be happy.
