Are these numbers right?

edited January 14 in Health and Weight Loss
I usually weigh in on Saturdays, but I was out of town for a funeral this week and weighed in before I left on Thursday and then this morning. I had been losing pretty steadily at .5 - 1 pound per week since I started in early January, but the loss was higher than I expected on Thursday before I left (1.5 pounds) and I apparently lost 2 more pounds over the weekend.

My diary is open - I wasn't preparing any of my meals, but I tried to choose healthy options for most meals except for the potluck dinner after the funeral and the fast food I ate while traveling. Even when I had dessert, I shared it with my sisters. I only got caught up in logging last night, and I was surprised to find out I was under my goal every day, mostly because I was quite active (jogging and soccer with cousins, etc.). I had to guess with almost all of my logging, but I tried to overestimate food and underestimate exercise if I didn't know. I didn't do any strength training, aside from hauling around nieces and nephews (and luggage).

My question - is this real loss? My scale tracks body fat, muscle density, and hydration, and the numbers all seem to be in line with a 2 pound loss, but I just don't know how that's possible. I don't want to get my hopes up and then plateau or gain this week.

Who knows? Certainly no one on this forum can tell you with any sort of authority. Weight loss doesn't go in a straight line, some weeks you will even gain. Don't sweat it.
